Fun fact about the very first food truck ever

While the food truck craze really started in 2008 in LA with the Kogi BBQ truck, the first “food on wheels” idea actually originated more than 100 years ago in Rhode Island.

Yep, over a 100 years ago, can you believe it?!

It was in 1872, Walter Scott cut out windows in his covered wagon and parked it in front of a local newspaper office in Providence. He used to sell sandwiches, pies and coffee to journalists who worked late. Thank you for the idea, Walter!
