Town of Tioga Hits the Ground Running 2022
The Town of Tioga is always looking for a good excuse to support their local community. What better way to drum up enthusiasm than to combine everybody’s favorite things: A worthy cause and chocolate?
Miles for Meridian
The walk-friendly streets of Tioga celebrated the 4th annual Miles for Meridian chocolate themed 5k walk/run/roll on February 5th.
In a town where the streets are made for walking, people of all ages stepped out in support of mental health. It was the perfect day for a walk (or run) through the lovely community, with many strollers and pets in tow!

Mental Wellness
The walk started at the Tioga Town Center and covered 5k of the picturesque town. All proceeds go to Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. With the help of the funds raised from the successful event, they can continue to support and promote the well-being of locals living with or affected by mental illnesses and substance use disorders.
Something for Everyone
Participants were treated to coffee and pastries from Mi Apa Latin Café. As well, a big shout out goes to Bearded Brothers Events who DJed and helped participants mark the day with a photobooth. We’re sure runners captured some share-worthy shots of their post-race celebrations.
The first 250 people to sign up received a free t-shirt. To show off their town pride, everyone who participated also received a custom designed finisher medal. Way to go everyone who participated in this much anticipated event!
